Thank you for your help.

I landed back in the emergency to try and stop my burn. They discussed my endoscopy report , I was negative again (two stool tests negative as well) for h pylori BUT they told me I had gastritis in my stomach? And early barrets. I have no history of NSAIDS, so I don’t understand what other cause it is from .

yea... at the moment, there is no clear evidence of how barrets is formed. But to protect your throat from further degradation, you probably need to have long term PPI. Is that what your doctors tell you?

Yes, they have started me on new ppi the fast tab Prevacid. They have put my dose to twice a day now, since I did not respond to once a day on nexium. If this does not work they will endoscope again. My barrets is very very small. “Early barrets” is what they told me right at my junction … so small the doctor did question it as it was just showing “irregularlity that questions if this is early barrets”. He took a few biopsies but for some reason my report does not show biopsy of the junction ? I am wondering if perhaps that biopsy was too small for result , or if they just didn’t give me that result as it was sent to another lab.

I thought, active gastritis in the stomach , meant h pylori? Mine was classified as “minimal gastritis” in stomach. But I have had two negative stool samples and my biopsy was negative too. I haven’t ever used NSAIDS. Are there actually people like me who don’t have h pylori but have gastritis ? We looked for auto immune markers last night and my bloodwork (as usual) is always perfect.

quick answer, yes. you can have some gastric inflammation without H. pylori. It's not sure why. Perhaps you are sensitive to certain food.

there are many types of PPI on the market. You can keep switching until you find one that suits you.
