Hello sir, I am from India.
I was diagnosed with h pylori during an endoscopy. He also discovered i had mild gastritis and dudonitis with scatterrd erosions in the stomach and dudoneum. He prescribed me the following treatment.
Amoxillin 1gm twice daily for 5 days and then tinidazole 500 ng and levofloaxin 500 mg twice daily for 5 days with a ppi.
But even after the treatment i am experiencing symptoms like extreme nausea and burning sensation above navel so much so that i cant even drink water after waking up, i have also lost 7 kilos in just a month and feel weak and generally sick all day.
I went for a second opinion to another doctor and he said that this treatment was wrong and he gave me pantocid-hp kit.
Can you tell me if the first treatment was right or wrong to treat h pylori. This thing has changed my life for the worst and i am feeling extremely helpless and depressed. Please help.

5 days treatment is a bit short. Usually is at least 7-10 days.

Nevertheless, you should wait for a month and see your doctor again for a follow up breath test to find out if you still carry the H. pylori.
during this waiting period, you are not allow to take any medication except ranitidine.

it's normal that the symptoms remain after treatment. side effect will gradually go away within a week and the gastric symptoms will recover depending on the severity of the damage done by H. pylori.

I think you have misunderstood the regime. Amoxillin for 5 days and after that tinidazole and levofloxacin together for another 5 days. So the treatment lasted a total of 10, days. I think it is called a sequentual therapy. I also have to take rabeprazole because of the erosions in my stomach and duodenum.
As for the follow up i am not quiet confident that my doc will approve of it as everyone thinks its all in my head and i am fine. Only the doctor's facility has the ubt machine so i really dont have any choice. Still i will give it a try to get a follow up approval.
The pain also starts after breakfast and lasts till the whole day. It is a dull, heavy pain at the upper part of my navel.
I dont really know what to do.
Currently i can only wait and watch my symptoms till my next appointment. I will try to keep you informed.

Can you also tell me an estimate of the successful eradication granted i have never taken these antibiotics in my life before.

Be positive. just remember there is always another treatment when this fail.
