How long does it take for H. Pylori to die when on antibiotics?

Assume that there's no resistance to the antibiotics, how long does it take for the antibiotics to kill all the H. Pylori?

I know we're supposed to take the treatment for at least 7 days, ideally 10 or 14. But I'm just wondering at what point does all the H. Pylori get killed.

That's a very hypothetical question. But, H. pylori is a fast evolving organism. If you dont kill it fast, it'll become resistant very quickly.

In general, doctors and scientists agree that 7 days is the minimum days needed to kill off all H. pylori.
10 days is better and 14 days is even better.

However, the longer you take antibiotics, the more side effects you need to tolerate. Also, without the good guts microbiome, you are at risk of other growth of bad microbiome.

This is my story: About two years ago my symptoms started with a burning pain in my stomach, constant burping, passing gas, and IBS issues. I went to the doctors but she did not run any tests. I then got pregnant a year ago and all of the symptoms stopped, after I gave birth all symptoms appeared. The symptoms got worse, especially in the mornings. I would have diarrhea twice in the mornings with a lot of passing gas. I went to the doctors and explained all of my symptoms. I then took a breath test that detected H Pylori. While taking the antibiotics I saw some improvement. After the triple therapy (10 days) all of the symptoms returned even the diarrhea. I’m not sure if I beat this nasty bug. I have an appointment in 3 weeks to get retested. Should I get a stool test to see if I might have any other bugs? The diarrhea is the most concerning to me. Has anyone experienced diarrhea with this nasty bug?

Some people does develop IBS symptom after antibiotic treatment. But let's wait a few days and see if the symptom improve as your guts flora gradually comes back. Try some probiotics to help the guts flora replenish.
