Why h pylori won't go away = thrush?

The cure of Hp usually requires antibiotics. Other things have been tried and have a weaker effect.

Why h pylori won't go away = thrush?

Post by Lcm »

Hi everyone, I started to get symptoms over a year ago of heartburn ( pain in chest and burping alot all day ) was given omeprazole for a month and it went away which was great. Then a few months later I had surgery removing a cyst in my mouth while awake and the experience was very traumatic and hey presto the next day my heartburn returned. This time however omeprazole didn't work and after 8 months of not knowing what the hell was going on I was diagnosed with h pylori. I did the triple theropy without any probs but 2 weeks later still had pain in chest and burping a lot ( I'm taking omazeperole for 1 month to let my stomach heal ) anyway I searched all over the internet for some hope that this would eventually clear up and promised myself if I find something useful that others can benefit I would put up straight away. A few days ago I developed an ear ache. Now I thought it was the acid however I went to docs anyway and they noticed I had a white coating on back of tongue. They said something about it being oral thrush and blocking middle ear tube or something like that and gave me this medicine to pop on back of tongue after meals. I started straight away and guess what. My chest pain went. I did come back after I are but if take the med or yogurt and it felt better. I thought wow has this got a connection. So I did some research and found yes it is connected. If you have h pylori you probably have thrush which can cause same symptoms. Also apparently you can get rid of infection only for it to come back as your yeast infection brought it back on. You need to combat h pylori virus and candida infection to completely heal. I'm no expert at all but thought this might help some people. I'll keep you posted how I get on.

Candida and H Pylori often live together, so treating both is really, really important.

Most people don’t know Candida can cause the same or similar symptoms as the H pylori itself. So although you may have got rid of the H pylori bacteria, symptoms can remain – or even worsen – if the Candida overgrowth is not dealt with too.

Some research suggests that oral Candida may act as a reservoir for H pylori – which means you could reinfection yourself after successful H pylori treatment.

In other words you could take H pylori triple therapy antibiotics, eliminate H pylori from your stomach, only for it to return weeks or months later because it was hanging around in your mouth inside Candida organisms…

and that is a new information for me. I dont think candida and H. pylori has a link. I believe it is a coincident in your case. Nevertheless, it's a good discussion topic on candida as a secondary infection during antibiotic treatment.

H Pylori and Candida
Posted March 20, 2013 8:36pm UTC by Dave Hompes
Candida and H Pylori May Live Together, Leading to Complications in Symptoms and Treatment Success!

Have you tried to eradicate H pylori only to find that your symptoms didn’t budge, or even worsened? Perhaps you also have a Candida overgrowth…

Over the last half-decade, I have evaluated well over one thousand patient stool test results. The most commonly detected digestive invader is definitely H pylori and many times – I’d say more than 30% of the time, in fact – there is a concomitant Candida overgrowth in my patient’s digestive tract.

This presents a problem, because the Candida can cause the same or similar symptoms as the H pylori itself. Thus, when H pylori bacteria are safely eradicated, symptoms can remain or even worsen if the Candida overgrowth is not dealt with.

The relationship between H pylori and Candida appears quite complex. Research indicates that oral Candida may act as a reservoir for H. pylori that could cause reinfection after successful H pylori treatment. In other words you could take H pylori triple therapy antibiotics, eliminate H pylori from your stomach, only for it to return weeks or months later because it was hanging around in your mouth inside Candida organisms.

There's quite a few articles written about this. This may certainly not be the case for a lot of people but a it might be worth mentioning to the doctors of a few, especially the people who have same symptons. It could explain what omeprazole and similar drugs do not work and the return of h pylori after triple theropy. My doctor wants me to do a months course of omeprazole before being retested to see if h pylori has been eradicated, could this month be enough time or it to resurface with the help of the candida infextion?

interesting knowledge. However, candida is so common and rarely cause any trouble. Candida is known to be problematic when their growth become imbalance with other microbes. It's understandable that antibiotics that reduce microbes may cause the imbalance. However, if Candida can then cause the H. pylori symptoms is unclear. H. pylori may survive in candida but it can too survive inside macrophages and sometimes, gastric cells. Being able to hide intracellularly is definitely a good strategy to shield itself against the antibiotics and other non cellular permeable compounds from homeopathic therapies.

i guess many studies that you quote have perhaps only look at the presence of H. pylori and candida. I think a control of absence of H. pylori and candida should also be examined.

I've used this supplement http://www.amztk.com/candida-support to treat Candida and I've seen amazing results!!! This has really helped me with thrush and I take it now as a preventive measure. This contains a real good combination of different nutrients to combat candida. I felt like a new person after being on it for just two week!

Unsure about precisely what you're looking for, before acquiring any medication or herbs you should consult a doctor. To learn more or to educate yourself you can go through some good sites like PositiveMed etc ... also you may get a free ebook on yeast infection here http://www.yeastinfectiontreatmentguide.com

Candida and H. pylori are often co-related. So proper diagnosis is important to effectively treat both the conditions.

Omg finally. I was trying to figure out why I couldn’t get rid of my thrush even though I was treated 6 months ago. I recently started having an ear ache then a throat infection. I’m sure due to oral thrush. Thank you for sharing this!
