Penicillin allergy (what can I use?)

The cure of Hp usually requires antibiotics. Other things have been tried and have a weaker effect.

There are several wasy to treat H.pylori without using penicillin. Firstly, you still need to block acid so that part of the treatment remains. Clarithromycin with metronidazole for 10 days is an alternative choice. After that combinations of PPI, quinolone and rafabutin have been successful. Bismuth, tetracycline and metronidazole with a PPI is a tried and tru combination. Furazolidone is useful. It becomes rather specialised as we go down the list. An article about treatment can be found on-line here: http://www.kibion.com/Download.aspx?id=8985 (Stenstrom, Mendis, Marshall, Australian Family Physician 2008).

The web site you listed should be checked for each antibiotic you want to use. Also, if there is any doubt that you are really allergic to amoxicillin you should see an allergist to absolutely confirm you are allergic because amoxicillin is the best baseline treatment. Rabeprazole is the least cytochrome-active proton pump inhibitor (PPI) as far as I know. Bismuth (De-Nol or Pepti-Bismol) should be OK. The other antibiotics are green-yellow mostly but a few reach the orange (be careful!) zone as far as risk is concerned. I recommend PPI-clarithromycin-metronidazole/tinidazole as the next treatment but see what your doctor says. Print out the info pages in color for each drug as they are listed on the porphyria information site site and take them to your doctor. Here is that link again: http://www.drugs-porphyria.org/language ... .php?l=gbr ;)

What are good type of allergy medicines that work well? I've tried Claritin, Zyrtec, Singulair, and Xyzal. None of them worked except Xyzal, but apparently my medical coverage doesn't cover xyzal. Is there any other type of allergy medicines that are as well as xyzal?

unfortunately, I am not expert in anti-histamine. However, those anti-histamine that you tried seems like the newer generation. You can try some older generation antihistamine, such as Polaramine (dexchlorpheniramine) and Phenergan (promethazine). the older generation antihistamine might can cause sedation. Please discuss with your local GP.

By the way, there are other antibiotic you can use rather than trying penicillin.

The simple thing to do is to be tested for penicillian allergy reaction. If you were told when you were young that you had an allergy, you need to be tested as THINKING you have an allergy leaves 24hr-printer-cartridges.com out a wide variety of the basic antibiotics. All my life I was telling hospitals and doctors I was allergic to it and later found out I was not.

It's quite difficult to find medecine without penicillin. And as far as i know those are pretty expensive. So first of all you should check if you're really allergic to penicillin

The reason Doctors are sceptical about a allergy to penicillin is, in the early days of use ANY reaction that appeared affter penicillin use was labeled allergy. Then doctors became accostomed to the words (PENNICILLIN ALLERGY) it was buy cialis online the first thing out of their mouths. The same as (its your nerves) you have stress, DOP. I was one of the children diagnosed allergic to penicillian, without testing, I do not have an allergy.
