Where do I start!??

Ok, almost a year ago I went to see a GI doc, for (what I thought) was an unrelated issue. I was experiencing anxiety\depression off an on for months, and thought MAYBE it was due to my gut health (read about all the neurotransmitters produced in gut).

After having a colonoscopy\endoscope, I was diagnosed with H. Pylori!! Which did explain all the other symptoms I was experiencing (GERD, bloating, nausea, etc...) completely ruined a beautiful trip to Key West, we had to abandon the vacation and leave early,I was miserable in that heat and humidity!! So, I started a triple therapy routine, tested a month later... still positive, tried ANOTHER round of antibotics, and STILL tested positive!! So the doc put me on a quadruple therapy, which I delayed starting because holidays were coming up, and I was feeling ok for the most part.

Fast forward to two weeks ago, and out of nowhere I started experiencing EXTREME nausea, belching, and bloat! Which pretty much ruined my get-away weekend with the wife (second time this has occurred!! Soooo, I just started the 3rd round of therapy (pantoprazole, bismuth, tetracycline and metronidazole) today, and I feel WORSE (adb!! This is making me extremely depressed, and on the verge of giving up!! I don't recall feeling this bad with the first two attempts (granted I was able partaking in medical cannabis, maybe that alleviated some of the side effects??).

PLEASE tell me this will level off before the 14 days is over... I'm at the end of my ropes, it's difficult to get out and be around people, luckily I work from home, otherwise I have no clue how I would make it into the office every day..

Hi, the side effect normally kicks in on day 3. it'll probably get worse as it accumulates in your body. The treatment that you got it's a good one. Very high success rate. it would be good if you can finish the treatment. However, if the side effect is too severe, and may cause real harm to your health, then you should stop it and talk to your doctor about it.
