Recently was diagnosed with Helio my GP did the blood test which proved positive and prescribed antibiotics and PPI - Nexium been about 1 month since finishing the course of meds. Had various symptoms ie chest, back pain, stomach pain and discomfort with the metallic taste with feeling of something in throat and sweats that subsided however they have returned. Curve ball is also been diagnosed with gallstones could the gallbladder be causing symptoms? Also another curve ball shortness of breath when climbing stairs walking up hill etc and shortness of breath when first laying down to sleep.

Been checked out at ED department at local hospital for heart conditions with chest CT, ECG etc and lung function test all tests clear. Feeling very low and despondent and frustrated.

Have to go back next week for follow up blood test to confirm if Helio still present.

Blood test is not the recommended test for follow up testing.
The antibody in the blood can remain positive for months or years.

you should get either breath or stool test done.

I have had trouble breathing as well. I have the same "wake up" panicked breathing. I do not have sleep apnea either. And the breathing thing can happen at any moment. Sometimes I'll just be walking and it hits me and I have to really focus to take a breath and I get all hot and clammy and then the panic sets in.

It just feels like something is wrong in my body, and now I know there has been all along.

Please organise a breath test for your H. pylori if you can.

Your breathing is probably due to your anxiety. You can talk to your doctor about it.

I've noticed since I started doing yoga before I go to sleep that not only do I sleep better, but there are a few more very noticeable differences:

I feel much more rested when I wake up

I have much more vivid and prolonged dreams. Everything is much more clear.

I sleep much longer (just woke up from a 12 hour sleep)

I never wake up in the middle of the night anymore
