I am about to start with quadruple therapy:
Tetracycline 500mg, Metronidazole 500mg and Peptomisbol all 4 times a day plus rabeprazole 20MG twice a day.
The Dr hasn't explained how to take the prescription but the pharmacist is telling to take :
Tetracycline on am empty stomach together with rabeprazole
1 hour later with food the Metronidazole with the pepto

Is this correct?? I want to make sure I am taking the medication correctly and spacing it over the 24 hours every day.
I was told that taking probiotics and saccharomyces Boulardi can help with side effects... but I am not sure how to take the probiotics
during the treatment, do i need to wait a couple of hours after abxs for the probiotics. TIA

in our clinic, we dont care before or after meal. Just take the tablets evenly throughout the day. keep the medicine in the blood high.

as for rabeprazole, 20mg 2 tablets a day is fine. but better if it is 3 tablets a day. we find 3 tablets having higher cure rate than 2 tablets.

"If the doctor does not specify whether to take medicine before or after a meal, I always take it after a meal. Any active chemical substance affects the digestive system and the walls of the stomach. In addition, do not forget to read the list of side effects so that you can immediately contact your doctor in case of their manifestation. When I started having hearing problems, I immediately signed up for the hearing test near me. And it was the right decision because, in the end, the doctor gave me a severe diagnosis. If in doubt about something, do not hesitate to ask your therapist. Be careful!"
