Re: On 3rd treatment

Please talk to your doctor who prescribe you the antibiotics. If he thinks you can continue, please do. because if you stop half way, and the bacteria gain resistance to it, only means you need a stronger antibiotics next time.

Re: Susceptibility to viruses?

There are three factors that contribute to stomach cancer. 1. genetic; 2. diet; 3. H. pylori.

Host Genetic plays the most important role, follow by diet and lastly, H. pylori. For your case, I dont know how susceptible are you to the virus, but I would recommend you to do frequent checkup.

Re: Broccoli Sprouts etc.

However, histology is always very sensitive as it is examined by expert. I think your doctor should rely on this information and prescribe you the trip...

Re: HP implicated in Prostatitis and Psoriasis?

I am sorry that I have not heard such correlation. However, if you are infected with H. pylori, regardless if it is in your blood, you should be able to detect it via breath test. Then perhaps a triple therapy will do the job of curing your disease.

Re: IgG+ but vacA/CagA-, Biopsy Negative?

only about 50% of H. pylori is cag +ve. I am not sure how sensitive is the vacA/cagA test. Better double check with breath test. you may follow this guideline to change your PPI to something weaker and then do your breath tests. http://www.imvs.sa.gov.au/wps/wcm/connect/d8730263-e0fd-4921-9341-47a96...

Re: Test...... omeprazole or antibiotics

unfortunately no. while taking antibiotics and PPI, the bacterial load reduces. So you may get false negative results from stool and breath test. However, any positive results from stool/breath test would be true positives. Blood test is not affected by the antibiotics and PPI. However, blood test o...

Re: Symptoms during treatment

There is no absolute answer to your question. You may ask for double dose PPI which may reduce your pain. You'll need a followup breath test one month later to find out if your treatment works.
