You can confirm your H. pylori easily by visiting the local GP and ask for a breath test. I dont think H. pylori is related to your resistance to Cold/Flu, then again, you never know. there is no guideline or recommendation for people who are taking HP Pac for H. pylori eradication. However, some people suggest probiotics after treatment to help good bacteria to establish before the bad ones.

There is no need to be paranoid about hygiene. Just wash your hands frequently and avoid sharing food and drinks.
