Re: H.Pylori in the intestinal tract

This is a very interesting topic. Intestine is a very crowded place and H. pylori is a loner. I dont think H. pylori likes there. Nevertheless, H. pylori DNA has been detected from fecal sample. I believe H. pylori will always pass through the intestine from the stomach but not able to colonise in a...

Re: Breathing issues + other symptoms

I am not sure if your breathing and weird throat problem is related to H. pylori. Probably it is not typical. However, the healing of your stomach after eradication of H. pylori takes time. depending on individual healing power and the severity of the damage, some people can take up to months to rec...

Re: Not tolerating PPI's

From your previous post, you had the standard amoxy-based triple therapy and you are asked to have PPI for 2 months. But you did not mention that how you know you have ulcer. did you do an endoscopy?

Re: H.Pylori Triple Treatment with Low Stomach Acid

alternative therapy with special diet? I dont really trust the result. There are too little scientific evidence on it. They may reduce the symptom, but they dont remove the root of problem. H. pylori still survive and the problem will come back.

Re: Diagnosed with H Pylori infection

It is not easy to catch it again if you had it eradicated. Most of the "re-infection" is because of the treatment failure. meaning the first antibiotic treatment did not eradicate the bugs and because follow up breath test to check the eradication is not practised by many doctors, people were usuall...

Re: Recovery Question

The recovery is depending on individual's healing. some may take months. Nevertheless, I would suggest you to wait another 3 weeks, then go do a urea breath test to see if the treatment is successful. hopefully it is.

Re: Probiotic

Hi, I am not familiar with innerhealth plus. But, I did a search and found that innerhealth is made up of Lactobacillus plantarum. it does carry the enzyme urease that will break down urea. Hence, I wont recommend it before urea breath test. it'll give you false positive.

Re: allicin vs Helicobacter

interesting post. where is the "like" button? :) i think it's a mystery of why using 1g of Amoxy where a few mg works. 1g Amoxy works better and so everyone kept using it. About garlic... hard to say. So far, no food has proven useful. perhaps garlic with PPI? I am not sure. Chilli too... no success...

there are very few papers about successful culturing bacteria from mouth. We are currently trying but have no success. DNA was detected but... high false positive.
