Re: Resistant Bacteria! or False Positive Breath Tests

Can you list your treatments and follow-up tests in a readable format for me (see below)? If you had a biopsy without bacteria being seen then it suggests that the bacteria may be eradicated already and the breath test is a false positive result. That could occur if you were taking acid blockers pr...

Re: stool test negative 3x, biopsy positive - do I have it?

I have the heartburn/nearly acid reflux today, too...It is sort of an ongoing battle to keep it at bay... I was being overly optimistic yesterday, I think, as I'd had a couple of good days. Trying licorice root, as I had taken that one day and maybe it helped. Thank you again for your help. It is ki...

Re: stool test negative 3x, biopsy positive - do I have it?

I agree about the choice of tests being weird. I think, too, that I don't have the infection, as the second stool test agreed with the first one. Yes, stress could have something to do with it...I am taking adaptogens & herbs, when needed, to help with stress. Yes, it is funny how it is back to wher...

Re: stool test negative 3x, biopsy positive - do I have it?

I just received my second stool test result. Both were negative. May 28, 2015 Negative June 29 2015 Negative Prior to the first test May 28, I was taking Nexium. Prior to the second test, I had not been taking any medicines that would affect the results, for 17 days. I am still not taking any PPI, p...

Re: Monotherapy with Bismuth

Sunshine37, You are welcome. The problem of H.PYLORI could be solved easily. But big pharma fights for money, patents, greed. Imagine a mixture of Artemesinin, Glycin and liposomal Linoleic acid what could achieve? Antibiotics problem is the low eradication rate plus the horrible side effects like ...

Re: H-Pylori and GI symptoms- 18 months of suffering

Briefly, some antibiotics work better in neutral environment, for example Amoxicillin and ciprofloxacin. In addition, studies have shown that double dose PPI kill H. pylori even more effectively. The mechanism is unknown, but the hypothesis is that H. pylori makes too much alkaline and killed itsel...

Re: Immune System

When people ask, "Is H pylori Contagious" it's only contagious when YOUR immune system is poor and you are susceptible to it. False. I don’t believe H. pylori infection is due to your poor immune system. However, if you do have very strong immune response to produce acute inflammation, you’ll proba...

Re: H Pylori Transmission By Urine, can Barjammar please rev

Dear Funk Odyssey: I read that the stool test (monoclonal) is 94% effective, while the polyclonal version is 80%. The urea breath test is better, at 96%. But even then, sometimes (from the study i read), it misses the H Pylori. so, it is good to get both the blood test, stool test and breath test, i...
